2. The coupling must be thermally aligned after the pump body heats up to avoid additional torque during operation.
3. The pump outlet pressure measurement point must be set with an interlock to stop the alarm, otherwise, once the discharge pipeline is blocked, it is easy to cause damage to the pump body.
4. When the pump is started, when there is no pressure at the outlet, the speed cannot be increased blindly to prevent premature damage to the shaft or bearing.
5. When cleaning and pipetting, do not use the pump to transport the cleaning solution. You should remove the internal parts and install it after the pipetting is completed to prevent foreign objects from being mixed into the pump.
6. The temperature of the heat medium jacket of the pump body can be slightly lower than the temperature of the heat medium of the front and rear jacket pipes. Because the melt viscosity has a decreasing function relationship with the shear rate, the extrusion of the gear and the shear of the bearing will increase the melt temperature by 3 to 5°C after passing through the pump. Lowering the heat medium temperature can prevent the melt from degrading. The data shows that by reducing the temperature of the bearing area, the bearing capacity of the bearing can be greatly increased. There is no need to replace a large-capacity pump. The output capacity of the gear pump can be increased by 50% only by increasing the speed.
7. The speed increase should be carried out slowly. Do not make the front and back pressure rise sharply, so as not to damage the bearing or block the lubrication channel by the melt.
8. The melt filter behind the outlet of the SUS gear pump should be replaced regularly. Do not run at high pressure or even the upper pressure limit for a long time.
9. Regular replacement of bearings can save maintenance costs. When it is found that the wear on the inner surface of the shaft or the bearing is close to the thickness of the hardened layer, the shaft can be polished and used again, and only the bearing is replaced, which can extend the life of the pump shaft by 8 to 10 years.
10. In case of power failure or interruption of heat medium circulation for more than 30 minutes, the pump should be disassembled and cleaned and reassembled to avoid damage to the pump due to poor lubrication of the bearing due to melt solidification and cracking.
