diaphragm pump troubleshooting:
1. Before removing the pneumatic diaphragm pump, mark the left and right air and liquid chambers to facilitate subsequent reassembly.
2. Use a wrench to loosen the small clamp connecting the outlet pipe and the liquid chamber, remove the outlet pipe and see the valve ball and seat, take out the ball and seat, and check the other spare parts of the pump for wear, chemical corrosion, cracks and other phenomenon.
3. Use a wrench to loosen the small clamp connecting the inlet pipe and the liquid chamber, remove the inlet pipe and you can see the valve ball and seat, take out the ball and seat and check the other spare parts of the pump for wear, chemical corrosion, cracks and other phenomena.
4. Use a wrench to separate the liquid chamber from the intermediate of the pump, and remove the liquid chamber to see the diaphragm and diaphragm splint.
5. Use a tool or wrench to secure the left and right edges of the outer diaphragm splint to separate the diaphragm device from the intermediate. Then turn clockwise to release the diaphragm device. After removing the outer diaphragm splint, remove the shaft from the intermediate.
6. Use a clamp (padded plank) to separate the shaft from the diaphragm device and inspect the shaft, splint, and diaphragm for damage and corrosion.
The pump has action, but the flow rate is small or no liquid outflow:
1. Check pump cavitation and reduce pump speed to allow liquid to enter the chamber.
2. Check whether the ball is stuck. If the operating liquid is incompatible with the elastic body of the pump, the elastic body will have the phenomenon of expansion. Please replace the elastomer with the appropriate material.
3. Check whether the pump inlet joint is completely locked without leakage, especially the clamp near the valve ball at the inlet end needs to be locked.
The air valve of the pump freezes:
Check whether the water content of the compressed air is too high and install an air drying device
The outlet of the pump has bubbles:
Check for diaphragm rupture, check for clamp locking, especially inlet tube clamp.
Medium outflow from air outlet:
Check that the diaphragm is cracked and that the diaphragm and the inner and outer splints are clamped on the shaft
Valve rattles: Increase outlet or inlet head.
Pump disassembly and Reassembly Guide:
Warning: Before repairing the pump, remove the air source piping from the pump and drain the air pressure from the pump. Remove all lines connecting the pump inlet and outlet, then drain the pump fluid into the appropriate container. Wear protective hats, glasses and gloves.
The pump does not move or operates slowly:
1. Check the air inlet screen or air filter device for impurities.
2. Check whether the air valve is stuck and clean the air valve with cleaning solution.
3. Check the air valve for wear and replace it with new parts if necessary.
4. Check the condition of the sealing parts of the center body. If it is seriously worn, the sealing effect cannot be achieved, and the air will be discharged from the air outlet end. Because of its special construction, use only the GLYD circle.
5. Check the piston activity in the air valve is normal.
6. Check the type of lubricating oil. If the viscosity of the oil added is higher than the recommended oil, the piston may become stuck or operate incorrectly. Light and frost resistant lubricants are recommended. (ISO Grade 15/5WT Anti-freeze oil)
